That Moment When You Need a Coff of Cuppee
Coff of Cuppee is for people who aren’t awake yet and need a CUP of COFFEE.
I just got my second stamp in the Wilmington coffee passport. There aren't too many places that are open at 7am on a Sunday. I was happy that Grinders was. I had run out of coffee at home.
So I'm sitting on a stool at the window counter to write. A guy comes in and says, “What’s up with the way that person is parked?”
I glance up and out and realize it's me! I was literally facing the parking lot, oblivious to the ‘you can’t park there’ space I’d made. Obviously I needed a ‘coff of cuppee’ and forgot to use the parking brake. I drive a stick shift and I have never done that. I mean I have done it, but I’m usually still sitting in the car when it starts rolling.
Forturnately, I didn’t hit anything and this coffee visit didn't cost me an insurance deductible.
Featuring Grinders Caffè and The Vibe
So many options!
I’m not great with too many choices. Even with no-one behind me, I was overwhelmed and went with a reviewers ‘best ever’ choice of Mexican Mocha.
The Vibe is an adjoined gift shop and opened at nine, so I hung out in Grinders until then. I bought another cup of coffee - just black so I could eat my muffin. I love the little coffee bar area with the microwave so that I could heat it up.
While there are plenty of next up choices in the passport, I’ll be visiting Grinder’s again sooner than later. I love the space and the ambience. It’s a great place to write.
I’ll be visiting the Vibe again even sooner. Though I enjoy selecting this and that for gifting, they will also have made up gift bags for the holidays as well as mystery bags coming soon.
